The F.A.S.T. test helps you quickly identify stroke symptoms

Face Drooping

Does one side of the face droop? Ask the person to smile.

A

Arm Weakness

Is one arm weak or numb? Ask the person to raise both arms.

S

Speech Difficulty

Is speech slurred? Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence.

T

Time to Call

If you see any of these signs, call for emergency help immediately!

Other Warning Signs

Sudden confusion or trouble understanding

Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes

Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, or loss of balance

Sudden severe headache with no known cause

What To Do

    Call emergency services immediately

    Note the time symptoms started

  3. 3

    Keep the person calm and comfortable

  4. 4

    Do not give them food or drink

  5. 5

    If unconscious, place in recovery position
